Prof. Taylor and her First Year Writing Students Meet with White House Press Secretary
To close out the Fall Semester, Prof. Darlene Taylor took her English 102 First-Year Writing Students to the White House!
There, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre met with Bison students for a conversation about communications, language, and her journey to the White House.
As one student put it: "What a way to end the semester!"
Karine Jean-Pierre is the first black and first openly LGBTQ+ White House Press Secretary. Amongst her many prior accomplishments, she served as chief of staff to Vice Presidential candidate and Howard University alum, Kamala Harris, during the successful 2020 Biden Presidential campaign.
